The Broadsider began as a side project within the ID group. We explored a lot of post apocalyptic themes focusing on movies, comic books, and video games. The project fell of the map for awhile - the bike design business can get busy! I hopped back on it the following Spring. The vision was to create a story in which the bike was the hero as told by a graphic novel, and the bike itself was the 'realty' that made the graphic novel more plauseable, tangible. The bike was shown at Trek's yearly dealer show - It garnered quite a bit of attention there and around the blogosphere.
