The Broadsider began as an exploratory side project within Trek’s industrial design team—an exercise in design fiction drawing from post-apocalyptic films, comics, and games. After an initial pause to accommodate production priorities, the project was revived with a focused intent: to position the bike as the central character in a graphic-novel-inspired narrative, brought to life through a fully realized physical build. Debuting at Trek’s annual dealer show, the Broadsider captured attention on the show floor and quickly gained traction across the design blogosphere as a compelling fusion of storytelling and industrial design.
