This is my last hurrah in the mountain bike group. I have designed four iterations of this bike and have worked with some great engineers and test riders along the way. This bike also marks the end of the 26in wheeled trail bike.
The mainframe: All of the production CAD is done by industrial design. The engineering content guides the aesthetic hand to make highest stiffness-to-weight ration possible while maintaining strong visual cues that are distinctly 'Trek'.
A few sketches fromt he project. Details od cable routing and fastener interaction.
My favorie part of the bike at the rear axle.
A shot of the armor bits on the chainstay and the bottom of the downtube. Lines accentuate the whole package and add detail.
